If you are going through hell, keep going

Churchill’s famous quote about overcoming adversity will strike a chord with many of us who have experienced troubled times in our professional or private lives. But, if you are in the middle of a crisis, it does always help to take a step back, assess the situation and think about just how long you’re prepared
to keep going.

To overcome obstacles you need to maintain a steady flow of personal energy. If you’re involved in highly intensive work, if you’re having a difficult time on a project where you can’t find clarity, if you’re in a meeting that seems to be going nowhere, then take a short step away and take stock.

Then, get back on the horse with new drive and vigour!
